What is a sauna ceremony?

It is a guided form of sauna that lasts approximately 10-15 minutes. The sauna user pours water with natural essences onto hot stones and uses a towel to swirl the warm air in the sauna to warm you evenly and intensely. He also adds movement, rhythm and his own style. Some ceremonies are even complemented by lighting effects, themed music or elements of a theatrical performance.

The ceremony is not only a physical but also an emotional experience. Each sauna user puts their energy and unique expression into the ritual. The result is deep relaxation, regeneration and, most importantly, a strong inner peace.

How to enjoy the ceremony to the fullest

To make your experience of the ceremony as pleasant and fulfilling as possible, we have prepared a few recommendations and rules:

  • Arrive on time: the ceremony always starts exactly on the minute and it is not possible to enter the sauna after it has started. We recommend arriving at the sauna at least 5 minutes in advance.
  • Choose a seat according to your needs: if it is your first time, we recommend the lower or middle bench – the temperature there is usually milder. More experienced visitors often choose the upper benches for a more intense warm-up.
  • We ask for silence during the ceremony: the ceremony is perceived as a relaxation ritual, and therefore we ask that you maintain a calm atmosphere. Talking, interrupting or using the phone is not appropriate.
  • Let yourself be guided: the ceremony is led by an experienced sauna master – he determines the pace, scents and course. We recommend relaxing and letting yourself be fully carried away by the atmosphere.
  • Don’t forget to cool down: always use the cooling zone after the ceremony. Rapid cooling of the body is key for regeneration, strengthening immunity and an overall feeling of freshness.
  • Do not use perfumes and body oils: due to other visitors and the wooden interior of the saunas, it is advisable to be in the sauna without perfumes, creams and other products.
  • Follow the drinking regime: replenishing fluids is very important after sauna use. Ideally, drink clean water or soft drinks from our bar.
